Karlzen’s career began in 1992 when an indie label owner offered to record her first album, “Mary Karlzen.” It was released regionally and established her as a unique new talent. Soon after, Atlantic Records signed her just as a wave of new female acts like Sheryl Crow and Jewel were exploding on the music scene. “Yelling at Mary” received outstanding reviews from The Washington Post, People Magazine, Musician Magazine, The Chicago Sun-Times, Billboard and dozens of other publications.

I'D BE LYING (Mary Karlzen) --------------------------- [Play in A, or play in G and capo at the second fret. I like playing it in G and using x32013 for C in the chorus.]
AEDEAEDEAEDEAEDD [intro]
AEDE Hey, don't I know you, you look familiar AEDE Didn't we try to make it work one time AEDE I remember standing at the train station crying AEDE But the train's gone by me now and I can't say why
DDEE Now the dust clouds have settled on the horizon DDEE And if I said I didn't miss you I'd be lying AEDEAEDE Ohhh, I'd be lying
Hey, don't I know you, we walked the same road together Reaching for the same star in that same starry night All the time I did believe we would go on forever Till I saw the end of the road and I headed up the 5 (???)
Now the dust clouds have settled on the horizon And if I said I didn't miss you I'd be lying Ohhh, I'd be lying
[guitar solo, same chords as intro]
Hey, don't I know you, we shared some time together We fought a lot, now we laugh just the same There are times I wish I could forget and not remember Do you ever think that we could get it back again
Now the dust clouds have settled on the horizon And if I said I didn't miss you I'd be lying Ohhh, I'd be lying Ohhh, I'd be lying Ohhh, I'd be lying
