A There are demons in the water E There are devils in the sea D There are dangers in the current AE When the tide goes out of me
A I could drink you under the table E I could drink you out of town D I could drink you off the planet AE Drink myself into the ground
CHORUS: AE And I have nothing for you tonight F#mED I have nothing for you tonight AE I have nothing for you tonight F#mD I have nothing for you
A I was made to be a good girl E Carried buckets made of stone D Full of envy, full of sorrow AE On a tightrope all alone
A And all the time I was on fire E I burned with every stride D And now I see this anger AE Is the horse I choose to ride
A Now you say you want something nice from me E Well if you find it, take it, it's on me D In the meantime don't bother me AE The tide has washed the nice from me
CHORUS: AE And I have nothing for you tonight F#mED I have nothing for you tonight AE I have nothing for you tonight F#mD I have nothing for you
A In nothing are the voices E And the pictures of my life D In the nothing of the sky AE Is an ocean made of light
A In the nothing of my silence E Is a sad-eyed little girl D On a tightrope she is singing AE As she passes through this world
CHORUS: AE And I have nothing for you tonight F#mED I have nothing for you tonight AE I have nothing for you tonight F#mD I have nothing for you ...
