Kevin Coyne (born 27 January 1944 in Derby, UK; died in his adopted home of Nuremberg, Germany, on 2 December 2004) was an English musician, singer, composer, film-maker, and a writer of lyrics, stories and poems. His uncompromising attitude towards showbiz fame and fortune always left him in a position of "outsider", a position he relished. The freedom to express himself without the chains of commercial considerations (although he would not have been adverse to a Number One album) helped keep his creativity alive.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

JACKIE AND EDNA KEVIN COYNE
INTRO: D
VERSE: D You called me Jackie, F# I called you Edna A Sitting in the green arcade,
Laughing at the paper hats we've made
D The white sea wall, F# The boarding house A Sitting round the table,
Your sister, mother, brother and little boy
D Now I'm so lonely, F# Just a picture of you A Stuck up in my bedroom,
Everywhere I go I think of you
CHORUS: BmG Why can't we go on darling like we did before? BmG Life should be ever open, ever open door BmAG Now I'm so lonely, lost and all alone A They say you're married
With children of your own.
VERSE: D Call me Jackie, F# I called you Edna A The white seagulls around,
Circle breaking, what a sound
D The big arcade, F# The noise inside A Seen you drift down the pier,
Oh how your great skirts glide.
D You know it's right, F# It can't be wrong A Just two weeks, one summer,
Didn't last so very long
CHORUS: BmG Why can't we go on darling like we did before? BmG Life should be ever open, ever open door BmAG Now I'm so lonely, lost and all alone A They say you're married
With children of your own.
VERSE: D Call me Jackie, F# Called you Edna A Now you're gone away,
Living somewhere, no-one will say
D Not a line, F# A single card, A Sitting in this lonely room
Don't you know the times are hard
D No work at all, F# No money too A Dreaming, dreaming dreams,
Lonesome dreams with tales of you
CHORUS: BmG Why can't we go on darling like we did before? BmG Life should be an ever open, ever open door BmG Now I'm so lonely and lost and all alone A They say you're married DAD With children of your own.
