James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music".

CDm Once upon a time you dressed so fine EmFG Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you CDm People called you, said "Beware doll, EmFG You're bound to fall", you thought they were all kidding you FG You used to laugh about FG Everybody else that was hanging out FEmDmC Now you don't talk so loud FEmDmC Now you don't seem so proud DmFG About having to be scrounging around for your next meal CFG How does it feel, CFG How does it feel CFG To be on your own CFG In no direction home CFG Like a complete unknown CFGG7 Like a rolling stone.
The chord positions try to capture the phrasing, but you'll really have to figure that out yourself :-)
