I transcribed this album simply because I love it and thinking that this piece of music should be available to play for as many as possible. Much of the music can be described as simple chords, so that's what I've basically done all the way through. But I've of course also included some of the essential picking patterns, fills and riffs. If you think any part is missing or if you would just like something typed into Guitar Pro, I'd love to help you out with that. In the bottom of the tab I've added the links to the all songs, which I've also submitted on separately. And all the tabs there include the correct lyrics and a sweet little comment on the song from my part. ;) - 30th /September /08

Chords: Right below I've written some chords if you were to play the whole thing on guitar. In the small tab chart in the right side I've indicated the chords that the funky guitar actually plays in the song (it's out in the bridge though).

In this song there are the figure/riff and a couple of chords. The verses include both the riff and then the chords of the riff, just casually picked. So I'll just write like 2x Riff, then pick the chords, which I just notate in common bars. All the used chords can be seen right below. The chords in the chorus are just regularly strummed. It's really not complicated :)

The G/B is played instead of the Bmb6 and the Bb6sus2 instead of the Bbsus2. I just thought I'd spice things up with some alternatives here ;)

Intro chords: The first four chords are the piano chords on the album-version. It's impossible transcribe the piano exactly for guitar, but this is the best sounding way I could come up with. The last two chords are the ones Jason plays around with as a foreplay when playing it acoustic.

There are actually no chords played here. It's just the riff below, played by the bass and vocals. This is the riff played on guitar on a live-version I found: BmBmGm7F#m |-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------| |-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------| |-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------| |-----------------|-----------------|---5-3-----------|---4-2-----------| |---9-7---5-4-----|---9-7---5-4-----|---------7-5-----|---------5-4-----| |-------------5-7-|-------------5-3-|-------------5-2-|-------------5-7-|

In this song there's basically just the main round, which makes up the intro, the verse and the chorus with a couple of breaks, and then there are the three pre-choruses. So instead of writing the same chords over again, I've just written how many rounds long each part is, simple :)
The Main Round: | E | C#m7 | G#m7 | A(add9) B(add11) |
Well, I heard that it might be raining bed sheets and lover’s words Let’s throw out the hotel comforter and hang the "do not disturb" Sign me up for the storm I’ll wear my suit for the shower ‘Cause I’ll have you to keep me warm in the coldest hour
And when the darkness falls under your hair, there I’ll be And crazy is the forecast all week
Well, every kiss, every hug is so light on that touch, delicate like a snowflake Well, I can taste, I can taste, I can taste, I can taste you all over my face And everyone might find me foolish to not be counting on the sun But your mouth is my umbrella now and I’m holding your tongue
And if the rain should fall, for sure, with you I’ll be And crazy is the forecast all week
And there’s a good chance in hell Like cats and dogs we’ll be flying And I’m no weatherman But you are lightning, striking
Here comes the sun and the rain All at once down the sink
In the midst of the morning pull up a blanket of a cloud And await for the warning of another come down Because the water is healthy for the roses in your cheeks My well holds plenty for penny wishing in your deep end
And when the lights go out, no doubt, with you I’ll be And crazy is the forecast all week And if the rain should fall, for sure, with you I’ll be Because crazy is the forecast all week long Crazy is the forecast
