GG7C Well I use to sing in Texas and it sounded fine to me DG I guess I've come a long long way GG7C But I've changed the words so many times I lost the melody DG And I never even saw it slip away GAmDG Out to sea there is a refuge AmDG Where the holy winds are strong AmDGEmACD Out to sea there is a high place takes so long GG7C So I thought of California by the shinning sea DG Though I'd write the song of songs GG7C I could hear my baby's goodbye voice ringing out to me DG Dear David I hope you live that long GAmDG Out to sea there is a refuge AmDG Where the holy winds are strong AmDGEm Out to sea there is a high place AC Sailor lead me to your song DGD And we will bathe in the white foaming water GA And be pure as God's driven snow DGD On that cloudless day there'll be no sorrow GAmGAm So the story goes the story goes GG7C Well I might never sing a song that's good enough for me DG Chase the doubts and fears away GG7 C On a sinking ship of hope I could hear the sailors calling DG Call the captain sail away GAmDG Out to sea there is a refuge AmDG Where the holy winds are strong AmDGEmAD Out to sea there is a high place lead me to your song DGD And we will bathe in the white foaming water GA And be pure as God's given snow DGD On that cloudless day there'll be no sorrow GAmGAmG So the story goes the story goes
