Gigolo Aunts are an alternative rock / power pop band formed in 1981 in Potsdam, New York as Sniper.
In 1986 their name changed to Gigolo Aunts (after a Syd Barrett song) and the band re-located to Boston, Massachusetts.
After recording the singles "Bloom" and "Cope" with Paul Kolderie and Sean Slade the band signed to Fire Records in the U.K. and created the full-length album "Flippin' Out" with producers Mike Deneen and Adam Lasus. They were then signed to RCA records in the US.

I have to admit that I first heard this band a few days ago, I know, they are great but unfortunately I didn't heard them till last saturday while I was taking a shower. In Spain is very difficult getting to know this kind of bands and, lucky me, the first song i heard was this one, "Once in Awhile". I can recall myself in the shower trying to remember the lyrics so then I could find out on the Internet the name of the band. Gigolo Aunts, I couldn't believe my eyes :). Later I tryied to find some Tabs, but there only was a couple, I felt very angry so I tryied to figure out this tab and, my dear friends, this is my very first Tab in my whole life. My knowlege of music is very poor as well as my guitar playing but, I tryied to do my best, I hope you like it. (I also hope you can forgive my bad english).
