Gene Clark, born Harold Eugene Clark (born Tipton, Missouri, November 17, 1944[1] - May 24, 1991) was an American singer-songwriter, and one of the founding members of the folk-rock group The Byrds.
Gene Clark is best remembered for being The Byrds main songwriter between 1964 and 1966. He created a large catalogue of music in several genres but failed to achieve solo commercial success. Clark was one of the earliest exponents of psychedelic rock, baroque pop, newgrass, country rock and alternative country.

EmC Today the rain came down again Em And washed away the light C So night could then descend G I saw your face again Bm The rains came down today AmC The things we had to say were also washed away GBm Again that was yesterday Am And though I feel the same C I can't go back again EmCEmC Ooh The rain EmC Oh I had that dream again Em In the hour before the dawn C And I don't know what it means G But I saw your face again Bm The rains came down today AmC The things we had to say were also washed away GBm Again that was yesterday AmC And though I feel the same I can't go back again Em Because the rain is gone it's gonna come another day CEmCEm Ooh the rain
