Dr. Dog is a indie rock group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of Scott "Taxi" McMicken (vocals, guitar), Toby "Tables" Leaman (vocals, bass), Zach "Text" Miller (keyboards, guitar), Frank "Thanks" McElroy (guitar) and Eric "Teach" Slick (drums).
"There's a little folk, blues, indie rock, soul, bluegrass--and a whole lot of down-home harmonizing. It conjures images of old friends sitting on a porch swapping instruments and just letting the tape recorder run." - Doug Wallen
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
[Verse 1] A When I was young, yeah I was young one time, we’ve all been young.
But, this one time when I was young my buddy gave me a tape. E And it freaked me out. E I didn’t know what to do. It was like TNT. I was in my brother’s room.
[Verse 2] A And another time, different friend, different house,
different song, different band, he had real long hair, E pulled the record out, put the needle on oh yeah and freaked me out. E I’d never done drugs. I barely brushed my teeth. E I was on the floor all glassy eyed fucked up beyond belief.
[Chorus] A Who'da known, who'da known, who'da known, who'da known DA That it would be rock and roll E That would terrify me E That would haunt me so completely
[Verse 3] A Yeah you were there, summer-time, young love, halcyon days, elysian fields,
Marlboro reds, white car, blue eyes, cd in, cd in, cd in, a cd in a car stereo E and it freaked me out, what he said about love. You were right there E I don’t know where I was.
[Verse 4] A How much do I owe my uncle? I expect it’s more than I can pay. AE He gave us a tascam, some maxells, a shure 57 and a stereo delay and it freaked me out. E Yeah the hum and the hiss. We were only 16, thought we were the shit
[Chorus] A Who'da known, who'da known, who'da known, who'da known DA That it would be rock and roll E That would terrify me E That would haunt me so completely
