You Never Miss A Real Good Thing (Till He Says Goodbye) ~ Crystal Gayle (1976) Written by Bob McDill
GC Sittin’ on the bed a-thinkin’ thinkin’ that my heart is sinkin’ GD7 Everyday the world goes by with you gone GC All I do is dream about you livin’ ain’t a life without you GD7G Honey can’t you find it in you to come back home
CHORUS:
CG You never miss a real good thing or know what it means D7G You never see the light of day till it goes away CG You never want a drink of water till the well runs dry D7CD7G You never miss a real good thing till he says goodbye
GC I guess you must’ve had your reasons maybe you were right in leavin’ GD7 I know you never found yourself in what we had GC And honey you’ve a right to blame me maybe even time would change me GD7G But can’t you see the good that’s in me and overlook the bad
