Verse: BmD I'm a vagabond just wandering along AG An obscure stretch of the drag BmD I don't sleep much at all but don't get me wrong AG I brought it on myself with this flag Bm that I'm waving high DABm Trying to keep boots dry for high ground to lay my head BmDABm and for a moment I spy when I close my eyes, a picture of her face instead
Chorus: GA Still I find myself in some town DG Burning the pillars of tradition down GD And waking up on the wrong side of fantasy
Verse:
BmD I'm a vagabond just wandering along AG Passing time in reverie BmD I don't bet much at all, but don't get me wrong AG I played the cards that were dealt to me BmD I may lose my mind from time to time ABm but I know I've made my bed BmD And I admit that I've cried more than willing to die ABm to wake up with her instead
Chorus: GA Still I find myself in some town DG Burning the pillars of tradition down GABm And waking up on the wrong side of fantasy GAD Waking up on the wrong side of you and me
Bridge: ABm I can't place where I lost track GD Or where I just lost my head ABm Give me something sharp for the heartstrings GA I wanna cut out of my chest GBmA Cause there ain't much time GBmA No there ain't much time GBmABmGA No there ain't much time above ground
Chorus: GA Still I find myself in some town DG Burning the pillars of tradition down GABm And waking up on the wrong side of fantasy GA I welcome all those wishes and trades DG to lose the whoolgathering days GABm of waking up on the wrong side of you and me GABm Or waking up on the wrong side of fantasy AD I'm waking up on the wrong side of you and me.
