Nice Little Penguins
Bo Feierskov, Michael Kolster and his younger brother Carsten have played together since 1983. The repertoire was a confusing cocktail of jazz standards, Nordic folk songs, beat classics, Danish pop songs and a few of their own compositions.
One night in the autumn of 1992 a couple of A&R guys from different Danish record labels turned up check out the trios gig at a Copenhagen club. By the next day, Nice Little Penguins were signed by Replay Records (an independent label).
