Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrewes é um jovem jazzista. Nasceu no bairro de Trema, em New Orleans. Começou a tocar com a nata do jazz de New Orleans quando tinha menos de 10 anos (daí o apelido que carrega até hoje, ''Shorty'', baixinho). Já tocou com Neville Brothers e Lenny Kravits.
