The Oldtime String band was originally formed as a musical backdrop to a documentary about the cow-painter, Ruud Spil. Both the musicians and the audience enjoyed it so much that the band is now on a stampede. The Oldtime Stringband not only plays Bluegrass and Old-Time music but is also inspired by American folk music from the 1940’s and modern music with an Old-Time feel. In the winter of 2011 they gathered together in the studio to make a live recording.
