Nikos Dankha, who is better known from his stage name Prince Of Assyria, was born in Iraq and moved to Sweden with his family in the age of 1. His debut album Missing Notes showed ten atmospheric and vulnerable folk songs that portray his life in Iraq and his growing up as an immigrant in a culture that felt unfamiliar. Love and loss were also themes on the album that is maybe best described as melancholic and dark.
The music of the band has been compared to the most delicate moments of Leonard Cohen or Nick Cave.
