Not to be confused with the popular American-grunge group from the late 80's and early 90's, Nirvana was an English psychedelic group from London. Formed in the mid-60's, the group released their first album in 1967, "The Story of Simon Simopath," a delightful, whimsical concept album, which, though influenced by the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," a record which naturally had an incalculable impact on all of late 60's British music, is reminiscent of the fairy-tale, sing-song style so prominent in British Psychedelia.
