A specialist in dance-pop and EDM, Martine Johnson is a bilingual Canadian singer and songwriter who records as Mia Martina. Based in Toronto, she grew up in Saint-Ignace, New Brunswick and later attended Carleton University in Ottawa. While there, she got an internship at CP Records, where she moved from office work to singing backup for artists on the label. She made her solo recording debut in 2010 with the song "Stereo Love," a reworking of the hit dance tune by Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina from the previous year.
