Anna Horvath (Merival) grew up on a small farm south of Kitchener, Ontario, where she spent most of her childhood playing piano, writing, drawing, and running around in the woods. She plays guitar, piano, banjo (badly), and dulcimer (barely), but mostly loves to sing. Influences include Sufjan Stevens, Joanna Newsom, Joni Mitchell, Emily Haines, The National, and many musical friends. Anna is also a member of the indie folk duo Kildear.
