Local funk band from Peru. La Sarita was formed in Lima, Peru circa 1998, by Julio Perez and Martin Choy. La Sarita's name comes from the blessed "Sarita Colonia" a symbol of popular faith. La Sarita has 2 independent albums "Mas Poder" released in 1999 & "Danza la Raza" in 2003.
La Sarita's sound is alternative hard rock fused with latin flavor, peruvian folkloric music and afroperuvian sounds. La Sarita have a huge underground following in Latin America.
