James Albert Nalls (May 31, 1951 - June 22, 2017) was an American guitarist who rose to prominence as a co-founding member of the Allman Brothers Band splinter group Sea Level.
Jimmy Nalls was born in Washington, D.C. in 1951, and raised in its Maryland and Virginia suburbs. Both of his parents were musical, and his father, James A. Nalls, Jr., gave Jimmy his first guitar instruction when he was five years old. Throughout junior high school and high school in Arlington
