Gurbe Douwstra
Gurbe Douwstra (Drachten, 17-2-1954) startte na het gymnasium en zijn militaire diensttijd een opleiding als accountant. Hij stopte daar al na korte tijd mee en kwam bij toeval in de journalistiek terecht. Als verslaggever werkte hij bij enkele kranten in Groningen en Friesland.
In 1981 werd Douwstra verslaggever bij Omrop Fryslân. Later werd hij er muziekredacteur. Al enkele jaren presenteert hij diverse radioprogramma's bij Omrop Fryslân.
Douwstra is al sinds zijn middelbare schooltijd met muziek actief.
