Seven-piece Japanese pop/funk/rock band formed in 1988 around flamboyant vocalist Takashi Hamazaki. They got their first break on Miyake Yuji's Ikasu Band Tengoku in 1989, and released their debut album, Tsuzuite Yuku No Kana, and debut single Shiawase De Aru You Ni in 1990. They disbanded in December 1998, having released 11 albums up to that point, then reformed in 2007 minus backing vocalist Junko Hamaya. Keyboard player Tatsuhiko Iino left in 2014; four new members joined in 2017.
