1) Down the Line, a 4-piece group started in 2001 in Chicago by Levi Britton, Derek Fawcett, Dan Myers, and Dave Rothkopf. They use mostly acoustic instruments such as guitar, mandolin, violin, harmonica and djembe, along with an electric bass. In 2008, Down The Line released the much-anticipated Home Alive, a live album culled from their stint as “artists in residence” on the renowned hometown stage at Schubas Tavern. The residency was reviewed in UR Chicago Magazine as “a meticulous yet carefree performance.
