in my humble opinion, 1971 was probably the best year for popular music. many seminal albums came out that year. carole king's TAPESTRY, joni mitchell's BLUE, elton's first, carly simon's first, led zeppelin IV, and many one hit wonders and just great top forty songs. kacey kacum's top forty was going into it's second year and was broadcast everywhere. i remember him saying how much he liked THE CORNELIUS BROTHERS AND SISTER ROSE'S song ''treat her like a lady''.
