Comus is a British progressive folk band formed in Beckenham, UK in 1969. The band broke up shortly after releasing their first album, 'First Utterance', in 1971. They reformed briefly in 1974 and then reformed again in 2009, playing festivals and releasing a new album in 2012.
Taking their name from a character in a John Milton masque, Comus mixes elements of progressive rock with the influences of The Pentangle, Fairport Convention and other more traditional folk outfits.
