Candice Rickelle Glover (born November 22, 1989) is an American singer who rose to fame as the winner of the 12th season of the U.S. reality-singing competition American Idol. The first female winner of the show since Jordin Sparks won in 2007, Glover is the fourth African-American winner in American Idol history, and the only winner to have auditioned three times before being cast for the live shows. Her debut album Music Speaks is scheduled for release on February 18, 2014.
