Apache Indian is the stage name of dancehall/reggae/pop DJ and singer Steven Kapur (born on 11 May 1967 in Handsworth, Birmingham, best known for his iconic international hit "Boomshackalak" (also known by many other titles such as "Boom Shack-A-Lak").
He introduced a combination of the traditional Indian bhangra music with the style of raggamuffin, the mix-up often known as bhangramuffin, to the world with his first album, 1993's 'No Reservations'.
