During 2002 in Finland, a Joensuu-based Britpop group called Pool had come to a pivotal point in its career. There were no gigs and the overall motivation was low. One day, the singer Hannu Sallinen brought with him to the rehearsals a bunch of songs for which he had accidentally written lyrics in Finnish. The band started to work on them, one thing lead to another, and before the end of the year, the band had signed a record contract with a multinational record company.
