Herman van Veen (born 14/3/1945 in Utrecht) is a Dutch singer, songwriter and author. He was the creator of Alfred Jodocus Kwak, an animation series that received worldwide fame. Up to this day, he has produced 138 albums sung in English, Dutch and German. At the Utrecht Conservatory he studied the violin, singing and theory of musical education. He is ambassador for UNICEF Nederland, and a founding member of Colombine, Stichting Alfred Jodocus Kwak, Stichting Roos, and the Herman van Veen Foundation.
